Conservation at Raven’s Rest

Our campsite has 3 acres conserved for wildlife, including moorhens, and aquatic/ amphibian life.  Please look, but don’t touch!

Denis (Din) Byrne has worked in forestry for years, and is dedicated to the conservation of local wildlife and birds.

A family of snipes live at the Raven’s Rest campsite, caravan, and mobile home site. When they were first discovered, the area was enclosed to protect the habitat.

The lake is home to moorhens and visiting wildlife.
